Having started my career twenty years ago as a office junior, I quickly worked my way up to management within the industry for independent and corporate estate agents. I have negotiated sales on residential properties, development land and new homes sites during this time for private individuals, as well as some of the leaders in the new home industry. My focus and goal was to start up my own estate agency business, which was realised in 2008 and to use the experience in both corporate and independent estate agents to provide a successful combination of both types of businesses. Paul Mason Associates was created to provide clients with a personal, efficient, professional service which has been continued by a dedicated and expanding team in all areas of the property sector. Outside of my working life I am a family man with a eleven year son Alfie, who I enjoy watching play football at the weekends and taking him to matches. My other interests including cooking, dining out and socialising.
I have a wealth of experience in sales within Chelmsford and the villages surrounding due to first starting in the industry in 1998, working alongside Paul! I joined Paul Mason Associates shortly after opening in 2008 and feel that dealing with property sales, mainly in the villages, for the last 17 years means I know what it takes to offer the personal and professional service that most agents 'claim' to offer. I currently live in Chelmsford and I am a keen Sheffield United supporter, mainly for the glory. In my spare time enjoy keeping fit and spending quality time with friends and family.
Following a very varied career crossing several industries I have recently had the pleasure of joining the team at Paul Mason Associates. My strong work ethic and a desire to always provide a professional and courteous service is wholly satisfied in working within this company who strive to do the very best for all parties involved within the sale of a property. Having owned my own business for many years, which was the cause of having worked in various industries, I have always found that one of my driving forces is the customer. I consider myself a people person and therefore interaction with people on a day to day basis for me is a must. I have in the past run open days for Builders with new sites to promote and have also worked in site offices on very large building projects. On a personal basis I spent 11 years singing with Boreham Ladies choir and the same 11 years assisting as a support team member for the Blue Falcon Gymnastic display team. Both of these interests had to be put on hold whilst I spent two years as a Landlady of a local public house, a 24/7 job if ever there was one. So nowadays I am taking it a little more easily in my private time. I love to swim, read, walk and organise family gatherings for which I love to do the catering.
I have extensive knowledge about Hatfield Peverel and the surrounding areas and a natural passion for property which made me want to join the Team here at Paul Mason Associates. I have had a long term career in London within the financial industry spanning over a period of 20 years, with my previous position being Head of Client Relations for a Discretionary Investment Management company. Outside of work, I spend my spare time trying to make a difference in the local community serving as a Parish Councillor, member of the Hatfield Peverel Community Association, and serve on the Hatfield Peverel Events team. I have four children and enjoy socialising and spending time with my family.
I was fortunate to meet Paul Mason on a visit to the Hatfield Peverel Office and am now enjoying working with this very friendly team. There is a very good work ethic here and we strive to provide a professional, helpful and courteous service to all our clients whether buying or selling. My background does give me a full understanding of the process of buying and selling properties from all aspects. My own career has spanned over a number of years, (quite a few) the earliest being with a local Building Society then followed by work at an Estate Agent and then a Solicitor. This has given me the opportunity of understanding all aspects the property business including conveyancing. After having my children, I started helping in our local village school with IT, and helped to develop and grow both their IT skills and my own while setting up a computer suite, which back in those days was something new to schools, needless to say not any longer! . With my children going off to University I found myself back at work in Estate Agency, I seem to have the knack of finding myself working in the property field and cannot get away from it, but it is something I do enjoy. I worked for both John D Wood and Jackson-Stops & Staff for over a 15 years, working in sales and marketing of period and country properties in the Essex and Suffolk area. I tried retirement but found that I could not settle to the quiet life. I do like to keep busy and in my spare time I enjoy socialising with an extremely close group of friends and family. Recently I have taken up the joy of an allotment, this is a new learning process and at the moment, quite fun, even if it does mean finding new muscles. There is always something new to learn in life I am sure it never stops.
